In this repetitive cycle, the act of self isolation is used as a defense mechanism. The solitude, through states of self-awareness, is embraced and repelled in an ongoing pattern of ultimately detrimental behaviour.
 
Marijke Loosjes is an interdisciplinary artist working in the mediums of photography, performance, and installation. Her interest lies with the human condition, in particular, the themes of mortality and transience. Loosjes is based in Boorloo, graduating from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art.

This video was made for The Projection Project at CASM.
